Explore waterfalls, volcanos, and wildlife that Costa Rica has to offer!

Costa Rica was the first country in Central America that I had visited before and I was blown away by its beauty. This country offers everything from having beaches perfect for surfing, magical waterfalls, and an array of wildlife. This country is filled with nature, the volcanos and wildlife being one of the main attractions. Out of the many unique and fun ways to experience this country, zip-lining and ATV tours were some of my favorite!
A majority of my time spent in Costa Rica was exploring La Fortuna, which is popular due to the Arenal Volcano
Thermal Spas and Springs

La Fortuna offers a dozen of thermal springs to relax in where you can enjoy some fruit from the stands and meet new people. If you are traveling on a budget, a majority of these springs are open to the public at no cost. I had decided to visit Tabacon Hot Springs where I grabbed a mango and sat in my own little pool. Just make sure to be cautious about stepping into the pools, I had stepped on a root where some fire ants fell off and onto me... It was not a fun way to end the night.
Unique Outdoor Tours
An ATV tour is a must do!! It is one of the most unique experiences in La Fortuna, I was taken on a 2 hour tour you ride through the towns in La Fortuna and have stunning views from the top, where you are able to also see the Arenal volcano! This tour will take you to a swimming spot to cool down and get to know your guides. There was a moment during the tour where there were also cows that would also be walking with and by me while riding which was such a fun moment to experience!

Depending on certain tours, they may offer packages. I would recommend that with the ATV tour, to also do the Arenal Mundo zip-lining tours. This experience will have you swinging through the rainforest and over waterfalls. One of the zip-lines I was on was a whole minute long over a stunning waterfall. I would definitely recommend you take advantage of this experience when visiting La Fortuna.
Hacienda Alsacia Starbucks

A fun and unique must do as well is to visit the Hacienda Alsacia Starbucks coffee farm, you're able to do a tour for free and explore the farm while enjoying your drink in the cafe with a view of the waterfall! This is where I tried clover coffee for the first time and it was so good!
A plus is that this is near Poas Volcano National Park, if you have time be sure to stop here to see so crazy views.
Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges

A famous site that I was amazed by was the Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges which offer 6 bridges that you are able to walk over and see a vast majority of wildlife. When I was here I had seen unique frogs, birds, and monkeys!!
Waterfalls, waterfalls, and more waterfalls!

Saving the best for last, if it isn't obvious, I have a love for waterfalls and Costa Rica for sure offers that most beautiful ones I have ever seen. La Fortuna waterfall is something that should be crossed off your bucket list, and the walk to it you are able to see so much unique wildlife, it is breathtaking.
